Context: After developing his theory of human development, Erik Erikson became renowned as an expert on psychology. psychosocial Definition: Involving both psychological and social aspects. Context: Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development focuses on a psychological crisis at each of eight stages of a person's life.
